Principle of electric shaver
Dec 18, 2024
The principle of electric shaver is to use the motor to drive the moving blade to move relative to the fixed blade, and cut off the beard or hair that enters the mesh.
The quality of shaving effect is mainly determined by the matching accuracy between the fixed blade and the moving blade. It requires that the spherical curvature of the fixed blade and the moving blade should be properly matched, and there should be a pressure distance of about 1mm and a certain shear angle between the two blades. If the pressure distance is too small, the shaving is not sharp, and there is a feeling of plucking hair; if the pressure distance is too large, the power consumption is large and the blade is seriously worn, and a sharp abnormal sound will be emitted.
The fixed blade adopts a mesh shape. Different manufacturers have different mesh patterns, but they can keep the fixed blade and the moving blade at a certain shear angle and make the hair entry rate high. The production process of the fixed blade is different, and its use effect is also different. The fixed blade using stamping, corrosion, and re-stamping processing technology has poor blade sharpness, general skin feel, little mesh change, rough lines, and not very long service life. The fixed blades made by electroforming, stretch grinding, stamping and milling have good blade sharpness, comfortable skin feel, fine lines and long service life.
The moving blades are evenly distributed on the moving blade holder, and the moving blade holder is required to have no obvious radial surface runout, and can maintain the rotation balance of the moving blade holder. With the corresponding speed, the relative movement between the fixed blade and the moving blade is in the best state for shaving. In this way, no matter how many moving blades there are, the purpose of sharp shaving can be achieved.
