Usage and maintenance skills of razors

A razor is a tool for shaving, used very frequently and almost every day. Proper use of a razor can extend its lifespan. Let's take a look at the usage and maintenance techniques of a razor together.
1. It is generally not advisable to shave if the beard is too long. If the beard is too long, it is best to use a versatile electric shaver with a trimmer. Alternatively, first use small scissors to roughly shorten the beard, and then use a razor for better results.
2. Dry your face first and then shave. It is best to slightly tighten the facial skin with your fingers, touch the skin in a direction perpendicular to the beard, and gently move the electric shaver in a circular motion.
3. When installing and disassembling an electric shaver, be sure to disconnect the power supply, stop the motor from rotating or electromagnetic vibration, otherwise there is a risk of being cut. Due to the sharp edge of the inner blade, special attention should be paid during installation and disassembly.
4. The edges and pores of the inner and outer knives are prone to harboring shavings and dander. After each use, try to clean them thoroughly with a small brush. Due to the solidification of dandruff and skin oil, it can hinder the movement and sharpness of the blade, so it is necessary to regularly remove any debris remaining on the blade edge.
5. Due to the thin outer blade, do not push it with a large knife to avoid deformation. Once the shape changes, it will hinder the rotation of the internal knife or cut the skin during use. If the blade is deformed and damaged, it should not be used again, otherwise there is a risk of cutting.
6. For electric shavers with carbon brush motors, the duration of each use should not be too long. Otherwise, the carbon brushes and commutator of the motor will be worn out, resulting in a decrease in rotational power.
7. To maintain the performance of the battery, it should be used within the range of 0 to 40 ℃ ambient temperature. When not in use for a long time, the dry battery should be removed and stored to avoid damage to internal components due to liquid leakage.
8. When charging a rechargeable shaver, the switch should be placed in the off position to charge with the corresponding voltage power supply. After charging, unplug the plug immediately. The battery of a rechargeable shaver, if left unused for a long time after charging, will discharge on its own, causing a decrease in electromotive force. Therefore, when left for more than three months, it should be recharged before use. Continuous charging for more than two days can shorten the battery life, so it should be avoided.
9. Apply a small amount of knife lubricant to the inner surface of the outer knife at regular intervals (once a week). Some rotating parts such as the inner knife support shaft or motor spindle also need to be lubricated. When refueling, you can drop a small drop of oil on your finger, wipe the shaft, or use a small wooden stick to guide the drip, but be careful not to use too much oil.
10. Turn off the switch after use. To protect the blade, it is necessary to put on a protective cover, then put it into a box, and store the razor in a dry place.
